poco-a-poco

poco a poco is a new doujinshi circle comprising three people from Singapore; Runya, Amsdia and Honou. Do note that poco a poco is a shounen ai-friendly circle. Much, if not all, of our work will involve shounen ai in some way or another. And for the uninitiated, shounen ai (aka slash) refers to homosexual behaviour, boy-love, literally.

We're all new to this, so any constructive criticism would be much appreciated! Feel free to point out what needs to be improved upon, and make any suggestions that you think would help us run our circle that much more smoothly. Just send all feedback to pocoapoco.ray@gmail.com.

Runya is the main artist of the group. In other words, she's the one we all go running to when we get ideas for fanart and want it drawn out. Her style is mainly manga-based, and she does some Chinese Calligraphy-styled work as well. As much as Honou and Amsdia are in awe of her, we're still aware that her style's still evolving. She can take criticism well, so do comment on her pictures. Praise and starry-eyed wonder is also welcome, of course.

Amsdia is the main writer of the group, the one who gets saddled with weird requests for fics. Like writing a fic based on a sexual education talk we had in school, for instance (not that we're talking about any fic in particular, of course). She's also the one who creates the story plots for our original manga as well as doujinshi. She loves writing fanfiction, mostly of the slash variety. Her fiction can generally be found on Soera. C&C on that journal is very welcome; feel free to friend it, if you'd like. She also enjoys having her ego inflated, so do tell her how much you love her work.

Honou is what you might call the technical advisor of the group. She claims she's not very important, but in fact she's the reason this group exists (all hail!). This doujinshi circle was her brain-child. She's mostly in charge of advertising and technical things - little things like, you know, actually printing out the doujins and getting them sold. Shameless abuse of her printer is the reason our doujins can exist in paper format. She's also a traditional-medium artist, and you might see some illustrations from her.

All of us do some CGing, though Amsdia tries to squirm her way out of it on a regular basis. Artist and CGer will be noted in the description of each picture.

It should be obvious, but just in case: do not steal any of the images showcased here, portion or whole. These are samples of our work, and only for your viewing pleasure. Do not try and claim them as your own work. We will Not Be Happy.

Also, a general disclaimer: A lot of the works here are fanworks; naturally, we do not hold any claim to these characters. They belong to their respective creators.

Please note We're thinking of taking commissions for fanart (and if we like you, you might get a bonus ficlet!). We're currently in the process of setting up a PayPal account so that we can take commissions, so don't make any just yet - but think about it! ^_^

Writers are artists that can't draw, artists are writers who can't spell.
